Considering just how many elements for the new canon version of Malachor matches up with the one in KOTOR, it's hard not to read into it. It used a lot of swtor and kotor cutscenes and trailer-parts in it so it might probably still have some relevance, though as for it being canon they might not do anything that would jeopardize the game by telling people it never happened. Unless Kyno is saying that if characters are not currently in the game they're not considered canon?
