The Presidential Volunteer Service Award is presented at the annual McCallum High School Awards night to any student who has completed 100 or more DOCUMENTED volunteer community service hours. These hours must have been completed within the last 12 months (from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019).

Since 2010, Ms. Rider has been presenting the Presidential Volunteer Service Award to Mahoning Valley volunteers and organizations.

The PVSA was created to recognize and honor Americans who are engaged in their communities by way of voluntary service. The Presidential Service Awards organization is not awarding lifetime awards at this time, so the Society is awarding them directly from our Society.
In 2003, the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation founded the President’s Volunteer Service Award to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity.
